For us, Christmas really IS the most wonderful time of the year for a whole bunch of reasons:
- Everybody’s really busy so we get less attention than usual;
- There’s all this stuff in the house that smells really interesting and looks like it’d be fun to play with but we’re not allowed to touch it;
- We get dressed up in stupid, uncomfortable costumes that are embarrassing and itchy and made to sit still.
On second thought, maybe it’s not so much fun.
NAH, we’re just kidding. We LOVE Christmas, the whole season of it. So we decided this year that we were going to celebrate the Twelve Days of Christmas. Starting on December 13th leading up to the big day itself!
Now, we do know that the 12 Days of Christmas are the days from Christmas leading up to the Feast of the Epiphany on January 6 commemorating the arrival of the wise men. But we’re going to celebrate the 12 Days of Christmas leading up to Christmas ’cause it’s our blog and we can. Every day will be a little something different, some long, some short, who knows. Just consider it our gift to you and a celebration of joy and laughter and giving and fun — at least we hope it is for you. So here we go . . . .
